nartu & yoga
Yoga is a fantastic adventure. Once you’ve been bitten by the bug, it softly captures you, kneads body and soul and provides exciting impulses to you: it combines your soul with your body and makes you whole again.
Not least, this adventurous process is an all-embracing purification. Yoga cleans the body and, at the same time, clears your thoughts, and who has already followed this path for a little while, feels committed to cleanliness and purity. In all respects and in every situation in life – also in view of purification and care of the body.

That’s how nartu has come into being
Because we have longed for a totally natural care range in terms of content and ethical purity and, however, nowhere we were able to find such a product. For this reason, we’ve simply created it on our own. At first, just for us, for friends, and now also for you.
What we are aiming at
- Genuine natural substances of biological origin.
- Millenia-old knowlege regarding yogic-ayurvedic medicine combined with the ingredients of native plants.
- Responsible management of resources.
What we reject
- Animal testing
- Chemical preservatives, Mineral oils
- Synthetic ingredients, Dyes, Phthalates, Parabens
We are Pia Angel and Theresia Angel-Hämmerle. We both have dedicated our entire expertise to the nartu products: Pia has been a yogini and yoga teacher for many years and knows well what’s good and what yogis are looking for. Theresia, a graphic and packaging designer and, in addition, offspring of a distillers family, is familiar with the highest purity standards of natural raw materials and the importance of careful processing that preserves the substances.
Pia Angel
Pia likes taking a look at the world from different perspectives. For example, upside down. Or, as a yogini, in yoga workshops in Thailand. There, the graduated lawyer, who has worked for charitable organisations for a long time, has encountered pure, fragrant coconut oil for the very first time: She just wanted to swim in it. Possibly, this was nartu’s conceptual moment of birth. Pia felt that only such a thing as this pure essence goes with the yogic way of life, which she has been going for 15 years practicing yoga and, for 4 years, also as a yoga teacher.
Because life takes place now in this moment and because we absolutely have to enjoy it now, in this very moment.
Anyone who has grown up beside the fermenting vats and distilles of a long-standing distillery in Vorarlberg, does not only know a great deal about flavours and the art of distilling them, but, above all, also knows the ingredients, which ultimately guarantee the product’s quality: fine processing and natural basic products of highest, no, of prime quality. Only the purest of all products will be processed. Such a thing is kept firmly in mind, and Theresia applies these principles not only in her own life, but also in her work as multiple award-winning graphic and packaging designer. Theresia has virtually shaped nartu: as ecological as possible and sustainable, but also nice and pleasant for the eyes. Because content and cover is ultimately one thing, as yoga teaches.
