FOCUS ON SUBSTANCES
ALMOND OIL – PRUNUS AMYGDALUS (SWEET ALMOND) DULCIS OIL
For approximately four thousand years, human beings have cultivated almond trees. They provide food and also care products in the form of cold-pressed almond oil. Our almond oil originates from the kernels of sweet almonds and both nurtures and soothes even the most sensitive skin. The skin absorbs the oil very well, smoothes it and makes it supple.
COCONUT OIL – COCOS NUCIFERA (COCONUT) OIL
Native coconut oil is pressed by means of gentle mechanical processes from the ripe flesh of the coconut (copra); however, it is by no means refined. Thus, it retains all caring ingredients and a delicate coconut scent; when applying it to the skin, it has a slightly cooling effect, is lipid replenishing and melts smoothly. Coconut oil does not only provide highly effective care, but also moisture. At the same time, it creates an environment, which is adverse for bacteria and fungi. Inflammations and fungal infections are deprived of breeding ground. Coconut oil is therefore a completely irritation-free health and care product for many different skin problems.
JOJOBA OIL – SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL
The jojoba bush is native to the desert regions of Central America. The oil gained by pressing the seeds is said to be one of the most pleasant and nurturing skin oils ever. It is inviscid, and can therefore be absorbed quickly by the skin and gives a long lasting protection without the feeling of having applied a layer of grease.
LOTOS FLOWER EXTRACT – NELUMBO NUCIFERA FLOWER EXTRACT
The strikingly beautiful leafs and blossoms of the Indian lotos flower always protrude above the muddy water, yet every particle of dirt drips off. The plant always appears to be freshly washed. Its large light pink to white blossoms are amoung the most elegant things that flora can offer. Lotos is a holy flower for Indians, a medicinal plant for traditional Indian and Chinese medicine and, for us, a skin-protecting, valuable ingredient scented with lotos in the form of the extract.
GINGER ROOT OIL – ZINGIBER OFFICINALIS OIL
The rhizome root of ginger is not only a spice, but has also been used since time immemorial as a cure in Asia, especially in India and China. Ginger root oil is gained by means of steam distillation. It has a fresh, fruity and balsamic fragrance and does not have only a short-term, but a long-term stimulating, vitalising, circulation-boosting and warming effect.
